Commission Types

• You can commission portraits as well as landscapes. In addition, dancing, ice-skating, performance, weddings, and other family events make great painting themes.

• Commissions are available in oil, conte pencils, and water media.

Commissioning a Painting

• You can provide the reference photo for the work. However, this photo cannot be copyrighted; in case it is, the client should provide written permission by the photographer for use of the photograph.

• When commissioning a portrait, in addition to the photograph that will be used for the portrait, the client should also provide a number of other photographs to better familiarize the artist with the subject of the painting. When physically feasible, and acceptable by the client, Pauline can photograph the subject herself and use that photograph as the reference for the painting.

• Framing can be provided at an additional cost.

• A non-refundanble deposit of 50 percent of the price of the work is required when the order is placed.

• The final balance plus shipping costs and any applicable tax is due upon receipt of the work.

• Time of completion of a commission depends on the size and complexity of the subject and the artist's existing workload.
